Hey there, my name is Morgan McMahon. Finding a counselor that feels like a good fit is an important first step in your journey. My therapeutic approach is very collaborative and I will follow your lead in session while encouraging you to use the space how you feel is needed. Helping you feel realigned with yourself, your relationships and the world around you is my goal. It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself, and make your happiness a priority – it is necessary. I hope sharing a bit about me and my professional background helps you feel at ease about moving forward.
About me
My hope is to create a calm, grounding, and safe environment for you to feel comfortable while working toward changing behavioral patterns that are inhibiting you from living your best life. I view the therapy process through a holistic whole-person wellness lens. This allows me to see what could be causing difficulties in your life from multiple angles. I specialize in helping clients through self-care improvement and empowering personal growth. In addition, I also incorporate art therapy and mindfulness into my practice (if desired) to deepen the connection between mind, body, and soul.

Professional experience
I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 and have experience working with individuals, groups, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly in a variety of settings including mental health clinics, in-home therapy, schools, and memory care units. As a Wisconsin native, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy from Edgewood College in Madison, WI. After graduation, I worked in the Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) field where I served young clients who had behavioral disorders and Autism (ASD). I then moved to Colorado where I obtained my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. During my time in this program, I received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and brief interventions. Now, after recently moving to Washington, I hope to help each and every client transform their lives in positive, long-lasting ways. Everyone deserves to live a life with contentment, authenticity, and fulfillment.
