Mary Vargas, LSWAIC

Hello, my name is Mary Vargas and I cannot wait to meet you. Your search is over because you reached a “good place” for your counseling needs. It will be a privilege to join you in your journey to define what is getting in the way of reaching your goals. I will compassionately provide a safe environment as we journey together to explore and fulfill your potential.

I, too, have been impacted negatively in my life therefore, I sincerely believe that finding a “good” therapist is where positive change can begin.

About me

For the past 15-plus years, I provided solution-based interventions, trauma therapy, grief, and loss, as well as medical crisis and family interventions for cancer patients and their families, strength-based focus therapy, humanistic approach and person-centered approach to English and Spanish-speaking families. As a person faced with child trauma, I understand how it may impact a person’s life. There are compassionate, caring, and empathetic therapists who can meet you where you are. Please allow us to explore together to determine how I can help.

I understand that life is busy so Telehealth therapy is available to conveniently fit your schedule needs. Please call if you have further questions.

Professional experience

In 2014, I graduated from Eastern Washington with a Masters in Social Work and a Masters of Science degree in Human Services specializing in counseling while I worked with families and children using Solution-based therapy and the Strength-based approach. I have experience working with children, adolescents, couples, single parents, and the elderly. I have experience in grief and loss, domestic violence, substance abuse, career counseling, welfare recipients, and single parents, to name a few. I prefer to use the humanistic and strengths-based approach but can change the therapy approach to fit your needs.
