Brenna Cooley, LSWAIC

Hi everyone, my name is Brenna Cooley. I am extremely eager to meet you and am grateful to be a part of your mental health journey. It can be intimidating to attend therapy and even more intimidating to find a therapist who you connect with. I understand first-hand how stressful this process can become. My goal is to provide you with a safe and comfortable environment. I am here for you each step of the way, and I look forward to growing together.

About me

I found a love for mental health at a very young age. I have gone through mental health challenges myself and have always been my biggest advocate. I now have the privilege of advocating for others and helping them heal, like someone once helped me. Your success and treatment goals are my number one priority.

Professional experience

I graduated from Western Michigan University with my Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Minor in American Sign Language, and I am an LSWAIC in the state of Washington, (#SC61442748).

The treatment methods I utilize, but am not limited to, are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion regulation, Interpersonal, Mindfulness-based, Problem-solving, Person-Centered, Solution Focused and Strength-based therapy. I have experience doing group and individual therapy with adolescents and adults who have co-occurring disorders, meaning a mental health diagnosis as well as a substance use addiction. My main clinical expertise includes depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and relationship issues.

I look forward to connecting with you and getting to know you on a more personal level. As Dr. Lauren Fogel Mersy once wrote, “Your present circumstances don’t determine where you go; they merely determine where you start.”
